Each year in August, Budapest turns into THE destination for festival lovers from all over the world: Sziget.
For one week, the Old Buda Island is transformed into the Island of Freedom. What started as an event for students back in 1993, turned into one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe. In 2018, there were over 550.000 visitors celebrating more than 1,000 performances.
